The web design approach
We have set up the good eco-design practices as recommended by the RGESN : eco-design of digital services
Design and development adapted to the rules of web design 🌿
Ecological responsibility is everyone's business: the web has an impact on our planet with a real ecological footprint. In this spirit we have put in place an approach toeco-design web to reduce the environmental impact of our site limiting CO2 emissions throughout its life cycle, i.e. from its design to its use.
We have voluntarily put in place elegant, sleek and lightweight design which aims to raising awareness and information.
No superfluous animation integrated, no video and audio integration but links referring to the respective sources, a very light WordPress theme, a useful, reasonable and followed extension choice.
Our site tends to be useful (for you and our members), evolutionary and sustainable.
Actions implemented:
- The Image size and PDF is reduced and optimized new generation image formats to minimize the required bandwidth and speed up site loading.
- Integrationa cache to optimize performance
- The compression of CSS and minification code
- Loading of Deferred javascript
- The reduction in the number of queries
- Optimisation of the mobile version of our site
- Digital service adapts to different types of display terminals
- The content and features of the service remain available and usable on various screen resolutions: mobile and tablets : from 375px to 1024px – Desktop : from 1024px
- The service is designed to be accessible to both mouse (computer) and touch (mobile). Tests were carried out under these conditions to ensure optimal user experience.
- Digital service is essentially based on open source with WordPress CMS solution licensed under GPL
- A maintenance strategy has been implemented
- Accommodation that uses 100% green servers ♻️
- Digital service uses server-side cache system for the most used data, in order to optimize performance and limit data transfer (WP Rocket): cache time of SQL queries and cache time of static resources (HTML/JS/CSS): 48h
- Digital service is available in IPV6 / IPV4 / HTTPS and TSL 1.3
